This privacy notice is provided by Selenly LLC ("Candit", the "Company"), the operator of the Candit.ai service, under applicable data protection law. This notice covers the processing of personal data of website visitors, people who submit contact or request forms, and account holders; for these activities Selenly LLC acts as data controller. In recruitment processes run by customer companies (including AI interviews), the controller of candidate data is generally the employer, and Candit acts as processor; in those cases the specific privacy notice shown to the candidate at application time applies. For certain activities such as information security, fraud prevention and service improvement, Candit may also act as an independent controller.
2. Personal Data We Process
Depending on how you use the website and the service, we may process: identity data (full name), contact details (email, phone), company/business information, account and usage data, the content of your requests and messages, and cookie and analytics data.
3. Purposes of Processing
Your personal data is processed to: provide the service and manage your account, respond to your requests and contact messages, promote products and run marketing activities (subject to your consent), maintain information security, improve the service, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal Bases
Depending on the jurisdiction, processing relies on the following legal bases: performance of a contract and steps taken prior to entering into a contract, compliance with legal obligations, the Company's legitimate interests and, for analytics and marketing cookies, your consent.
5. AI-Assisted Systems and Automated Decisions
The platform uses AI-assisted systems for recruitment analyses and pre-assessments. Analyses, rankings or pre-assessments produced by these systems do not constitute a final hiring decision on their own; the final decision is made with human involvement by the hiring company's HR professionals and/or managers. You have the right to object to, or request human review of, decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
Your data may be shared, on a limited and purpose-bound basis, with: cloud and hosting providers, email and communication services, analytics providers, AI service providers, payment institutions, and public authorities where legally required.
7. International Transfers
A significant part of the hosting/database, email, analytics, payment and AI service providers we use are based in the United States; your personal data may therefore be transferred internationally. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law, relying on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules or, where required, your explicit consent.
8. Retention
Data is stored for the following reference periods: contact and request records, for a reasonable period after the request is resolved; account and subscription data, for as long as the relationship lasts and thereafter for the statutory limitation and retention periods; operational and security logs, for the periods defined by law and information-security practice; voice interview recordings, for 180 days; and talent pool records kept with the data subject's consent, for a maximum of 2 years. At the end of these periods the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
9. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law you may have the right to: obtain confirmation of whether your data is processed and access it; request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure or restriction of processing; object to processing, including profiling; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing; and lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
10. Exercising Your Rights
To exercise your rights, contact us at destek@candit.ai, identifying yourself and describing your request. Requests are answered free of charge within the periods required by applicable law. Where Candit acts as processor, your request may be forwarded to the controller company responsible for the recruitment process.
